Teams is a groundbreaking feature designed to enhance collaborative efforts and simplify the sharing of watchlists and model portfolios among users. This marks the beginning of our journey towards greater collaborative and sharing-centric functionality within the Koyfin platform.

Creating a Team in Koyfin

Setting up a team in Koyfin is straightforward and user-friendly. Follow these straightforward steps to get started:

  1. Navigate to the upper right corner of the Koyfin interface and click on your account settings.
  2. Click on "Teams".
  3. Click the "Create Team" button. You will be prompted to give your team a name.
  4. Once your team is named, add members by typing their email addresses. You can add emails in bulk.
    Note: you can add only registered Koyfin users.
  5. After sharing a watchlist or model portfolio with a team, each team member will receive an email with a link to access it.

You can assign the Admin role to any team member. Admins have the authority to change the roles of other team members, ensuring proper access and control within the team.

Sharing Watchlists and Model Portfolios

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open the watchlist or model portfolio you wish to share.
  2. In the upper right corner of the screen, click the share button.
  3. Select Your Team: In the text bar that appears, you can either type your team name or select it from the drop-down list.

When sharing a watchlist or model portfolio with your team, you can assign specific roles to a team:

Viewer: This role allows team members to view the shared asset without making any changes. It's perfect for those who need access to the information but shouldn't alter the data.

Editor: Team members with the Editor role have the ability to make changes to the asset. This role is ideal for collaborative efforts where multiple users need to contribute to the data and analysis.
